While some bemoan the new development at 75 Grand Avenue in Cobble Hill that could be before Will Smith was considering coming to town. Reports from the Observer (1) note that for the production of the Will Smith “Men in Black III,” “Brooklyn developer Mendy Gorodetsky…has offered…free reign of the 2,300-square-foot penthouse at his brand new development.”
The place sounds pretty nice too with the story notating: “The apartment boasts 16-foot-high ceilings and mezzanines, full-aperture windows and European custom cabinetry. And if the crib itself isn’t enough of an enticement, Gorodetsky’s offer includes “ensuite meals” delivered by nearby Choice Market and “between-takes chocolate massage treatments” from Clinton Hill’s Body By Brooklyn.” While I’m not sure about that last offer, who knows what the presence of the high-profile actor and his film would do for Cobble Hill or the development.
While this offer could do a lot for the building at 75 Grand Avenue, there isn’t any question that Will Smith and Men in Black III could do this film wherever they wanted to. If Cobble Hill is the place though, look for reports of Big Willy Style sightings all over the city.
