Some songs are just annoying. Other songs are annoying because they are so repetitive that if you listen to them once, they’re stuck in your head for days. We can also thank the radio stations for playing out most of the annoying songs of all time. Here is a list of the 10 songs that annoy me the most.
10. “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz
I actually really like Jason Mraz and the first time I heard this song, I loved it. After I listened to a thousand times (I wouldn’t be surprised if that number is literal), I simply couldn’t take it anymore. It’s one of those songs that I wake up to in the morning moving my feet to because it was still stuck in my head after listening to the it the night before.
9. “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus
I have a confession: I’m a 23 year old who loves Miley Cyrus’s music. However, this song was and still is simply played out too much. I don’t know how many more times I can hear “And a Jay-Z song was on/ And a Jay-Z song was on/ And a Jay-Z song was on.”
8. “Who Let the Dogs Out” by Baha Men
This song is, undoubtedly, one of the most 10 annoying songs of all time. It was almost difficult to tell whether they were singing or barking.
7. “Gotta Get Through This” by Daniel Bedingfield
I think that Daniel Bedingfield could have been a very talented artist. Unfortunately, this overly repetitive attempt at a somewhat techno song killed any shot he had at a serious career.
6. “Can’t Get You out of My Head” by Kylie Minogue
This is another unbelievably repetitive song that was an attempt at a techno sound. If the la la’s were to be removed from the song, it might not be so bad.
5. “Mmm Bop” by Hanson
I was the only girl in elementary school who didn’t have a huge crush on Taylor, Isaac and Zac were even remotely cute. Even as a kid, I thought this repetitive song was completely unintelligent.
4. ” You’re Beautiful” by James Blunt
This song’s melody is really pretty and James Blunt has an unusual voice, but there are only so many times you can hear “you’re beautiful” on the radio before you start cracking jokes about it. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve heard sing “I’m beautiful” in a parody to this song.
3. “Bad Day” by Daniel Powter
This song, which was popular at the same time as “You’re Beautiful,” is also incredibly annoying and repetitive. We get it: someone had a bad day. How many times does it need to be said in this song?
2. “All Star” by Smash Mouth
Most people are familiar with this song due to the “Shrek” movie. Every time I hear “Hey now, you’re an all star/ Get your game on, go play,” I turn this song automatically in fear of it being stuck in my head for days.
1. “I’m Like a Bird” by Nelly Furtado
I love Nelly Furtado. In fact, she’s one of my favorite musicians. This song is undoubtedly the most annoying of all time, however. It amazes me that this repetitive song is still played today. My head literally begins to hurt now when I hear “I’m like a bird, I’ll only fly away” on the radio.
So, there you have it. The ten songs that annoy me the most. What songs annoy you?
