A few weeks ago I went car shopping. I visited many car dealerships and did a lot of looking before I decided on purchasing a 2010 Dodge Avenger. I carefully considered all the things I needed in a car and also took into consideration gas mileage and the cost of the car payment. I even called my insurance company prior to making a decision when I had my choice narrowed down to 3 vehicles. The fact is that the 2010 Dodge Avenger was not only the least expensive for car insurance; it offered the best gas mileage and the best financing deal. When I factored in all the variables I went back to the dealer the next day and purchased the car.
Since I have had it home I have taken it to Myrtle Beach and Tennessee. These are the things I have learned about the car. The model I have is the RT so I have that great spoiler on the back of the trunk. There is also a safety pull inside the trunk in case someone should get locked in the trunk by accident. I hope I never have occasion to use it. My model car has upgraded rims so with those and the spoiler it really does help give the car a sportier look.
The car has black leather heated seats. Yes I said heated. I actually got to try them out one morning last week when it was very cold and they worked great. I have air conditioning and also the feature to cut off air coming in from the outside so I can avoid the odors and gas fumes of cars and trucks in front of me blowing oil or whatever. The car came with one-year free Satellite radio, which I have already decided to keep at the end of the free subscription period because I just don’t think I could do without it after sampling it.
The car lets you know when a tire is low, when there is any problem with the engine, which hasn’t happened yet, but I am sure when that time comes the computer will let me know. I can plug in an MP3 player, DVD player and Ipod to this radio. There is also an additional plug in the back of the console so back seat riders can watch DVD’s. Speaking of the back seat, if you need to haul something the back seat folds down flat and you can even fold the front passenger seat flat down if you need that little additional length for whatever you are hauling.
When the back seat is positioned as a back seat there is a middle of the seat armrest, which also has drink holders in it. This is a very comfortable car with lots of legroom. Believe me my husband is 6 foot tall and he fits in this car very comfortably. Speaking of husbands, my husband has a bad back and this car has Lumbar seats and it does not cause him pain to travel in this car.
So if you are thinking about purchasing a new vehicle now or in 2011, put the Dodge Avenger on your list of cars to check out.
