Day two 2010 Little League World Series scores are coming in at the 2010 Little League World Series. These Little League World Series scores are from August 21, where five games will be taking place in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. There were already four games on Friday, August 20 as well, meaning that by the end of the day on Saturday, every team will have played at least one game, but also one team will have been eliminated from the 2010 Little League World Series.
The 2010 Little League World Series will progress through August 29, with the championship game taking place on that day. Up until then, the 16 teams that qualified from around the world will play out a double elimination tournament to decide which team will emerge as the 2010 Little League World Series champions. Below are all of the game results to this point, but first here is the list of all the teams that qualified for this year’s event.
The winning teams from Saturday’s pool play games will take on each other, with the losers also taking on each other. Those games will be later in the week, as the winners from Friday will be playing each other on Sunday. The most important game of the Saturday schedule might be the nightcap, with the Northwest vs. Midwest game taking place. The loser of that game is going to be eliminated from the 2010 Little League World Series, as it is considered the first game in the losers bracket at this tournament.
Both the Midwest and Northwest teams were put at a huge advantage by this game, because they both played on Friday. It means that any pitchers who threw in the first game, and have not reached their required rest periods, will not be able to play on Saturday night. That could mean that a lot of offense is coming in this game, especially from the Northwest team that just scored a ton of runs in their regional brackets. Be prepared for a great game, and it will be broadcast live on ESPN.
