2010 NFL Week 11 Predictions: Chicago Bears at Miami Dolphins: The Chicago Bears stay tied for 1st in the NFC North after beating the suffering Minnesota Vikings last week. Jay Cutler had a great game, passing for 237 yards and 3 touchdowns. Their defense was able to make huge plays, causing Brett Favre to turn the ball over 4 times. Lance Briggs and the defense is what held the team together last week, and they will have to do the same thing against the Miami Dolphins this week. The Dolphins went through 3 quarterbacks last week. They started Chad Pennington, then after an injury, proceeded with Tyler Thigpen and Chad Henne. Their quarterback situation is iffy, but their running game and defense will hopefully be able to stop the Bears. The Bears should win this game 24-21.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: Buffalo Bills at Cincinnati Bengals: The Buffalo Bills earned their first win last week against the Detroit Lions. Ryan Fitzpatrick passed for 146 yards and a touchdown, while Fred Jackson tore it up on the ground, rushing for 133 yards after C.J. Spiller left with an injury. The Bills defense really stepped up their rush defense, keeping one of the league’s best running backs, Jahvid Best, to only 35 rushing yards. The Bill’s defense and Fitzpatrick’s consistency will be the key factor if they will win again. The Cincinnati Bengals, in my mind, are the biggest underachievers in the league. With a dismal 2-7 record, the Bengals have lost 6 games in a row. Carson Palmer has no consistency, throwing for 3 interceptions last week, and Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens aren’t the greatest threat we thought they would be. This game will be a toss-up, but the Bengals will take advantage of the Bill’s weak passing defense and come out on top 17-12.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: Arizona Cardinals at Kansas City Chiefs: The Cardinals suffered an embarrassing loss to the Seattle Seahawks last week. Their defense was horrible, allowing Matt Hasselbeck to throw for 333 yards and a touchdown. Their offense was able to move the ball down field through the air with Derek Anderson, but the ground game was pathetic. Tim Hightower only averaged 3 yards per carry. If the Cardinals are going to win this game, they will have to move the ball on the ground. The Kansas City Chiefs also suffered a humiliating loss last week, falling to the Broncos. Their defense was full of flaws and nothing seemed to go right. Their offense got off to a slow start, but Matt Cassel ended up with 469 yards and 4 touchdowns. So we know they can move the ball on offense, but they just need to pick it up on defense. The Chiefs defense won’t fail again this week, and the Chiefs offense will outpace the Cardinals’ defense. Chiefs win 35-17.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings: The Green Bay Packers are coming off a much needed bye. Aaron Rodgers and the offensive line had a chance to recover and the defense took a much needed resting period. Charles Woodson and Clay Matthews had a chance to recover and will be ready to face Brett Favre this week. The Vikings fell to The Bears last week. Brett Favre was mistake-prone. He threw 3 interceptions and fumbled the ball once. Adrian Peterson was held to only 50 yards. Brett Favre says that his shoulder is hurting, but should be able to play on Sunday. We will see how he is feeling. Green Bay Packers will win this game 24-14.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: Washington Redskins at Tennessee Titans: The Washington Redskins just signed Donovan McNabb to a contract extension. They were down 28-0 at the end of the first quarter, after Michael Vick tore apart their defense. The Redskins defense really slacked and will have to improve in order to beat the Titans’ improving offense. The Tennessee Titan’s didn’t show much life last week, but that could just be growing pains. Kerry Collins started the game for the Titans, then was replaced by Vince Young who threw for only 92 yards and a touchdown. He didn’t get much time to practice with Randy Moss, so hopefully this week they will work on that and be able to hook up more. The Tennessee Titans should win this close game 24-21.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars: The Cleveland Browns almost pulled off another huge upset last week against the New York Jets. Colt McCoy has been performing well as a starter, passing for 205 yards and a touchdown last week. Peyton Hillis has also proved to be a threat against any team. The Browns are that sleeper team that could throw a damper into anyone’s playoff hopes. The Jacksonville Jaguars won in a thrilling last second hail mary pass from David Garrard to break the tie. This most likely won’t happen again, but they still have Maurice Jones-Drew to run the ball and Garrard to throw it. The Browns will win this game 27-24.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: Houston Texans at New York Jets: The Houston Texans have one of the better offenses in the league, but their defense is keeping them in last place of their division. Matt Schaub has the potential to put up huge numbers, but their offense just isn’t getting it done. Andre Johnson had 146 yards and a touchdown last week, and Kevin Walter had another 90 yards and touchdown catch. Their defense will need to improve and not allow Mark Sanchez to pass all over them if they will win this week. The New York Jets and Mark Sanchez have something going for them, and it’s not just luck. Mark Sanchez tore apart the Browns’ defense passing for 299 yards and 2 touchdowns. Shonne Greene and Ladainian Tomlinson combied for 120 yards and Santonio Holmes had a clutch pass to life the Jets above the Browns. They should have no problems this week, passing against the Texans weak defense. The Jets advance to 8-2 with a 28-17 victory.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: Baltimore Ravens at Carolina Panthers: The Baltimore Ravens had a few extra days to recover from their loss to the Atlanta Falcons last week. Joe Flacco passed for 215 yards and 3 touchdowns while Ray Rice ran for 59 yards on 12 carries. Their defense fell apart in the end, allowing the Falcons to come back on an 80 yard game-winning drive. The Carolina Panthers suffered another loss last week. Not only did they lose the game, they also might have lost Jimmy Clausen for a week due to a concussion. The Ravens will easily win this game 24-10.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys: The Detroit Lions lost to the Buffalo Bills last week. Shaun Hill ran for 323 yards and a touchdown. Jahvid Best was held to only 35 yards, averaging only 2.1 yards per carry. The Dallas Cowboys looked as though they died two weeks ago, but stunned the Giants last week. Jon Kitna passed for 327 yards and 3 touchdowns while Felix Jones and Marion Barber combined for 100 yards on the ground. Dez Bryant has been a great addition to the team, and caught 3 passes for 104 yards and a touchdown. The Cowboy’s defense actually showed stability last week, causing 2 interceptions. Jason Garrett could be the coach that lit the spark for this team. The Dallas Cowboys extend their winning streak to 2 with a 23-21 victory.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: Oakland Raiders at Pittsburg Steelers: The Raiders are coming off a bye. Jason Campbell and Darren McFadden had the chance to rest up for this game against the surging Pittsburg Steelers. The Steelers are one of the best teams at home, but lost last week to the Patriots. Ben Roethlisberger put up huge numbers, 387 yards and 3 touchdowns. Mike Wallace surged with 136 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Steelers are a good match-up for the Raiders, but this game is more of a toss-up depending on if the Raiders “Just Cut It Loose”. The Steelers will win at home 27-20.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: Atlanta Falcons at St. Louis Rams: The Atlanta Falcons beat the Ravens with a last minute drive last week. Matt Ryan passed for 316 yards and 3 touchdowns. Roddy White, who was coming off an injury, caught for 138 yards and 2 touchdowns. Their problem came with the running game, where Michael Turner was only able to run for 2.3 yards per carry. The St. Louis Rams lost to the 49ers in overtime last week. Sam Bradford’s passing abilities have really opened up the running game for Steven Jackson. Unfortunately for the St. Louis Rams, their receivers aren’t able to make huge plays after the catch, so their yards after the catch are dismal at best. The Falcons will win this game 28-21.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at San Francisco 49ers: Josh Freeman had another great game last week against the Panthers. Their rushing game was really able to get going as well. LeGarrette Blount and Cadillac Williams combined for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns last week and pose a threat for any defense to come. The San Francisco 49ers squeaked by the St. Louis Rams last week in overtime. Led by Troy Smith, the 49ers were able to march down the field and show life. Frank Gore’s 87 yards on the ground helped open up the pass game through the play actions at the end of the game. The Buccaneers will win this game 24-17.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: Seattle Seahawks at New Orleans Saints: The Seattle Seahawks dominated the Arizona Cardinals last week. Matt Hasselbeck sparked the Seahawks offense, passing for 333 yards and a touchdown. Justin Forsett ripped off some huge gains, averaging 7.1 yards while Mike Williams caught for 145 yards. The Seahawks won’t be as productive against the Saints’ defense, but should still be able to move the ball down the field. The New Orleans Saints had a bye last week to rest up their starters. Drew Brees will have a good game against the Seahawks defense and Darren Sharper will keep an eye on his former teammate. The New Orleans Saints win this game 30-21.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots: The Game of the week is between the Colts and the Patriots. Peyton Manning didn’t have a touchdown last week, but their defense was able to take advantage of the Bengals’ weak offense. The Colts are all banged up, and their woes are continuing to grow. With Joseph Addai out, Donald Brown has taken over behind the quarterback. The New England Patriots are on the other side of the spectrum. They have everything going for them. Tom Brady is having another great year and his defense is performing magnificently. BenJarvus Green-Ellis has proven to be a productive back and Wes Welker is one of the most reliable receivers in the league. The Patriots will with this game at home 27-21.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles: The Giants were upset last week by the Dallas Cowboys. Eli Manning had a tough game against the revamped Cowboys, and Ahmad Bradshaw was only able to average 3.6 yards per carry. Their defense is what really surprised the world. They looked almost pathetic against the Cowboy’s offense. The Philadelphia could arguably be the best offense in the NFC. Michael Vick leads the offense with fire in his eyes. LeSean McCoy is a great match for the Eagles offensive style and DeSean Jackson is a great target for Michael Vick. Last week, he passed for 3 touchdowns and ran for 2 in the first half alone. The Eagles should win this game 35-28.
2010 NFL Week 10 Predictions: Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers: The Denver Broncos dominated the Kansas City Chiefs last week. Kyle Orton had a career high, 4 touchdowns. Knowshon Moreno also had a big game, rushing for 106 yards. The San Diego Chargers are also coming off a bye. Phillip Rivers is one of the best quarterbacks in the league and their defense is surging. The Chargers should win this game, 24-17.
