The Ligonier Marshmallow Festival features many fun and exciting activities including kids games, amusement rides, and a car show. Ligonier is approximately 40 miles northwest from Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Grabill County Fair / September 8-10
The Grabill County Fair highlights the local Amish community with unique rides, crafts, and food. Grabill is located 10 miles northeast of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Roanoke Fall Festival / September 8
The Roanoke fall festival includes a parade, demolition derby, and concerts. Roanoke is located 20 miles southwest of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
South Whitley Fall Festival / September 16-18
The South Whitley Fall festival has a 5k, art show, and corn hole tournament. South Whitley is located 30 miles west of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Johnny Appleseed Festival / September 17-18
The Johnny Appleseed festival is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana at Johnny Appleseed Park. The festival has a children’s area, crafts, antiques, and food.
Dekalb Country Free Fall Fair / September 26- October 1
The Dekalb County Free Fall fair has many free music concerts throughout the week. This year’s guests include Josh Kelley, Starship, and Ryan Star. The Dekalb county fair is located 25 miles north of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Apple Festival of Kendallville / October 1-2
The Apple Festival in Kendallville will offer many craft booths, food stands, and tradesman demonstrations. Kendallville is located 25 miles northeast of Fort Wayne.

Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo
The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is starting a new Halloween tradition this year with the Wild Zoo Halloween. On October 14-16, 20-23, and 27-31, the Zoo will provide great Halloween activities for children and adults to enjoy.
Haunted Castle and Black Forest
The St. Vincents Boy Scouts offer a frightening Halloween experience at the Haunted Castle and Black Forest. The Haunted Castle and Black Forest are located in Fort Wayne on Auburn Road near St. Vincents Church.
The Haunted Cave is open for its 14th year celebrating Halloween. Many new, frightening features have been added this year on top of all the fun of the past! The Haunted Cave is located southwest of downtown Fort Wayne.
Huntington’s Haunted Hotel
Located in Huntington, IN, the Haunted Hotel is a scary Halloween experience. Huntington is located approximately 25 miles west of Fort Wayne.
Downtown Fright Night
Downtown Fright Night takes place on October 22 in downtown Fort Wayne. Activities celebrating Halloween include a zombie walk, presentation by Science Central, and a kids’ scavenger hunt on Parkview Field. Many downtown businesses are also joining in on the Halloween fun!
