2011 is bringing in the latest amount of fuel-efficient small cars. From electric cars to Hybrids, 2011 is going to be a big year for car companies. Below are previews of a few cars coming out in 2011. Some new, and some cars just re-designed.
1. 2011 Chevy Cruze ($16,275)
The Chevy Cruze is a compact/economy car that Chevy is hoping will amount up to cars like the Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla. This ‘premium’ sedan is equipped with many features that make this car stand out. Some of these features are it’s 10 airbags, six-speed manual transmission, and 40 mpg. It has low-rolling resistance tires and a 1.4 liter turbo engine that gives you a decent on-demand acceleration- 0 to 60 in about 9 seconds. Given the features that this vehicle has, The Cruze will hopefully be well worth the cost.
2. 2011 Kia Cadenza ($26,195)
The Cadenza is definitely trying to become the Lexus. The Kia Cadenza is a mid-large sedan that is assumed to beat competitors such as the Toyota Avalon with a lower price, yet having better features and accessories. The Cadenza is larger than the Amanti and has more head and leg room for passengers. The Cadenza comes with either a 162 hp 4 cylinder or a 286 hp v-6 engine(your choice,) and has amazing safety equipment for under $30,000.
3. 2011 Land Rover Evoque ($37,000)
The Evoque is going to be Land Rover’s first 2-door model in years, and is also going to be more for the roads than off-road. Unlike most Land Rovers that are gas hungry and have poor handling, the Evoque is going to be the lightest, smallest, and most fuel efficient Land Rover ever made. Same as the LR2, the Evoque has the same 3.2 liter engine that gives you 230 hp. This is a Land Rover that I am definitely looking forward to seeing.
4. 2011 Mazda 2 ($ 13,980)
The Mazda 2 is going to be a great compact economy car when it comes out. Weighing just 2,300 lbs. and only 12 feet long, it may look small on the outside but it still manages to have enough room to seat up to 5 people. The Mazda 2’s trunk space is 28 cubic feet compared to the Corolla’s 12.3 feet trunk. For an economy car, the price is definitely going to be a great deal.
5. 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe ($62,165)
This sport car is going to be one of the fastest vehicles on four wheels. The Coupe’s six-point-two liters of v-8 can make this car go from 0 to 60 in under 4 seconds. The Coupe comes with 4 doors, or those who want 2-door instead, it will come with the same features but will have a sportier look to it. GM hopes that the Coupe will be in the U.S. by spring of 2011.
