Last year’s debut of a “Wine and Chocolate Festival” was such a big success, that the Ouray Chamber Resort Association is hosting the second annual “Wine and Chocolate Festival” on Saturday, December 11, 2010.
The attraction at the “Wine and Chocolate Festival” is of course, chocolate. Imagine sampling decadent tasty chocolate treats along with a glass of wine. Who wouldn’t enjoy this type of festival?
Local Colorado wineries will be on hand to fill your glass and there will also be some local restaurants on hand to share their wines and wine list with patrons.
It’s a fun filled evening in Ouray filled with sweetness and good tidings, so come on out and spread some holiday cheer!
DATE: Saturday, December 11, 2010
TIME: 7-10 pm
PLACE: Wright Opera House, Ouray, Colorado
COST: $25 per person, $10 for children under 10. You’ll be able to partake in all tastings with an etched souvenir wine glass. The kids will get admission to the beverage booth as well as chocolate tastings. You can enter the “Wine and Chocolate Festival” free if you shop Ouray stores and have $200 in receipts.
ENTERTAINMENT: Live music will be provided by Dan Allen and Jessica Kastendieck
SILENT AUCTION: A silent auction will also be part of this year’s “Wine and Chocolate Festival”. You’ll be able to bid on items that will benefit the First Descents, an organization which helps children from the emotional effects of cancer by letting them experience outdoor adventures, and the Friends of the Wright Opera House.
JUDGING: Awards for the tasty chocolate treats will be given out at 8:30 pm. The judge will be Heidi Kremeier of Mouse’s Chocolates and some of the categories will be the Most Decadent Chocolate, the Kid’s Choice Award, the People’s Choice Award, and others.
Come on out and support the local shops while enjoying the tasty treats of the “Wine and Chocolate Festival” in Ouray, Colorado.
