Whether you have just gotten your period for the first time, or are a seasoned veteran at it, a period never gets easier. It seems that month after month we are forced to deal with it and go on with our everyday lives as though nothing is wrong. Unfortunately, we gals have to try to put on a brave front for the rest of the world when inside we feel as though our insides are about to explode. Although there really isn’t any natural way to prevent your monthly cycle, there are steps you can take to make the experience much more pleasant.
Stock Up On Supplies
The first step to having a “happy period” is to be prepared. Always have a supply in your home of tampons, pads, liners etc.. A woman’s cycle can change many times through the years and it’s important to be ready for it. It’s a good idea to wear a pantyliner for a few days before you expect your cycle to arrive because you don’t want any unexpected surprises.
Medicine Is Key
Buy a supply of Midol or Pamperin and always keep it in your home for those unexpected cramps. The worst part of P.M.S. is the cramps that come along with it. If you have a vacation planned, or have a really important meeting that day, the last thing you need to happen is the onset of cramps. Taking pills will help ease the pain for a few hours and make you feel as though you don’t even have your period.
Relax And Rejuvenate
Once you are done with work, or your daily chores, it’s important to take some time to relax. Make a hot cup of tea, put your feet up and read a book, or curl up with a pillow and watch some TV. During menstruation your body is going through a lot of changes as well as losing a lot of nutrients, therefor it needs time to recuperate. Make sure to set aside a little bit of time each day during your cycle to relax and get your body back on track.
Following these three steps will not only help you to have a “happy period”, it will also make your life a lot easier.
