When you think of colors for the fall in any year most likely it is blacks, browns, tans and navy blue. The last thing you’d ever expect in fall colors are brighter shades and ones used in other seasons. Many of the fashion blogs have a number of different colors for the fall of 2010, but a few remained the same from each. Some of these colors of fall represent the beautiful autumn leaves in bolder and brilliant shades. There were other colors you never associated with for the fall season until now.
Of course the standard neutrals that have been used and worn season after season still apply, but if you want to spice up your fall wardrobe here are four magnificent colors to consider. They were a hit on the runway earlier in the year during Fashion Week. Let’s see what these trendy and fashionable fall colors are all about.
Usually a color more associated with spring/summer is now appearing in the Fall 2010 collections. This sexy color always gets one’s attention especially in a bold red Versace cape or a lipstick red Tommy Hilfiger trench coat. When you think about it there are red autumn leaves in many vibrant shades, so red isn’t such an unusual color for fall. You’ll find red is now everywhere. Be sure to scroll down for each color mentioned, so you can see these colors in fall clothing for yourself.
Once again when you think of the color blue for fall it’s usually navy blue. Out of all the new colors for fall this is by far the most popular one from the runway. These come in a variety of shades to the darkest midnight blue to the iciest and coldest blue. You wouldn’t think of the lighter shades of blue being appropriate for fall/winter, but it does tend to match the colors of winter like in a frozen pond or a vivid blue sky against the snow. A light blue turtleneck sweater by Tommy Hilfiger would be perfect in the latter fall and throughout the winter.
Here is a very trendy color for fall that is reminiscent of the red hues mentioned earlier. If you’ve been to the New England region during the fall foliage you’ll notice the incredible shades of vibrant and stunning colors the leaves change to. Some of them look pink while there is also a mixture of red, yellow and orange. Normally this is a color very apropos to the spring/summer, but it goes just as well with fall since the autumn leaves also change to this color. Why not try on a pale orange Balenciaga pullover sweater?
This color is likened to the green leaves still on the trees in the early fall. Eventually they start turning to various shades of darker green before taking on an autumn color we come to love about the fall season. The lighter shades of green are for spring/summer, but the darker green shades of olive, fatigues and green-browns are excellent for your fall/winter wardrobe. Burberry Porsum has a green-brown jacket with a thick lamb’s wool lining that is not only warm, but chic too.
You may not be able to afford these designer collections, but it’ll give you an idea of how these colors are presented. No longer do you have to wear the same old, same old drab colors for fall. Go outside the norm and try on these four popular clothing colors of red, blue, orange and green for Fall 2010.
