The areas of town are very different, giving a family a lot of good choices for hotels in Denver, CO.Red Lion Hotel Denver Southeast$94 3 stars
3200 South Parker Road Aurora, CO 80014
This is a very cool hotel and provides easy access to parts of town called Greenwood Village, DTC and Parker. Greenwood Village and DTC are both upscale parts of town, and Parker is our neighborhood cow town.
It is also very close to Cherry Creek Reservoir and the RTD light rail.
RTD light right will take you all the way downtown, and is within walking distance of the Red Lion Hotel Southeast. You can get right on the train from walking distance of the hotel, and ride to the heart of downtown (and then you don’t have to worry about traffic or parking).Courtyard by Marriott Denver Cherry Creek

The Best Western Hotel in Denver is a great family hotel. Clean rooms with a comfortable family decor, and nice swimming pools for the kids to play in; make this a great family hotel.

2601 Zuni Street Denver, CO 80211http://www.ramada.com/Ramada/control/Booking/property_info?propertyId=03147
This 2 star hotel is close to downtown which is where the big attractions are. Right off of I-25, you can easily visit anywhere in Denver in under 30 minutes.Comfort Inn & Suites Stapleton
$70-$110 2 1/2 stars
4685 Quebec St Denver, CO 80216
Stapleton is a wonderful outside mall and very new. I hesitated recommending this hotel for two reasons. Commerce City is right down the street (Commerce City is the industrial part of town) and this Comfort Inn is not very updated.
However, it is a comfortable family hotel close to the wonderful outdoor mall (Northfield at Stapleton) and given its proximity to I-70 and I-270 it is easy access to downtown Denver and other areas.
