Life is made up of cycles. One such cycle is marriage. If you have a friend that’s soon going to be a husband, why not give them something worthwhile as their Bachelor Party gift? Here are some clever and practical gifts.
1. A Laptop.
While this is in the higher price end of Bachelor Party pool, it’s a great gift for a good friend. Picked up online you can find a good laptop with around 1 gigabyte of RAM for around $150. The main advantages to getting a laptop at the end of your bachelor life is that it offers up some necessary independence. With marriage comes a potentially suffocating home situation. Your friend will appreciate being able to relax in the backyard, Starbucks, or at the library- all while surfing the web, taking care of business or school work, and not necessarily having to monopolize internet time.
2. A Digital Camera
While another friend might have this same idea, this is always a good idea. An inexpensive, $60 Digital Camera could be the perfect gift for your friend to capture memories and highlights with. With marriage comes a myriad of new experiences- plenty of which your friend will want to be able to conveniently take pictures of. While you’re at it, make sure to pick up an SD card for extra storage space. A 64 Megabyte SD card can be bought for around $10.
3. A DVD Player.
It’s unfortunate that you and your friend may not get as much time together considering the new responsibilities he’ll soon be saddled with. Considering this likelihood, it’s a good idea to gift him with something that’ll offer something of a nudge toward inviting you over during his free time. With some luck he’ll look at the new DVD player you were kind enough to buy him and call you up to hang out and check out a flick. Then again you might shoot yourself in the foot and simply give him something else to do with his wife instead of you.
4. A Nintendo Wii.
For gamers interested in getting their wives into their favorite pastime should look no further then Nintendo’s little white box. This fantastic motion-controlled console is the perfect bridge between newcomer gamers and experienced gamers. Do your pal a favor and pick up a Nintendo Wii for him. For $200 you’ll be getting your friend and his wife a Wii, a Wii Remote, a Nunchuk, Wii Motion Plus, Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, and all the necessary cords. Then you can game online with him or stop over for some fun.
5. A Home Safe
This one is more common sense. A bachelor pad doesn’t necessarily need one of these, but a shared dwelling can benefit greatly from having a small, steel safe for important documents, jewelry, and savings. One of these $45 home safes could save your friend a lot of trouble in case of a robbery.
