Halo: Reach is the prequel to Halo CE and boasts lots of new features and upgrades, but one of the Halo: Reach features that I’m most impressed with is the new Halo: Reach campaign. Following are the coolest features of the Halo: Reach campaign.
In previous versions of Halo, Matchmaking and Campaign were always viewed as complete opposites, but Halo: Reach will once and for all merge Campaign and Matchmaking together. In previous Halo games, you could jump into campaign over Xbox Live with friends, but you couldn’t search for them, but in Halo: Reach you’ll be able to find new people to play Halo: Reach‘s campaign with regardless of if they’re in your friends list or not.
Just about every Halo game to be released has featured some sort of space combat, but Halo: Reach will be the first Halo game to let you take part in the action. Halo: Reach‘s campaign will allow you to sport a spacecraft known as “the Sabre” and you’ll be able to blast alien scum out of the sky with twin auto-cannons and a missile pod to boot. Space combat is one the campaign features that Halo fans always wanted but just never knew until Bungie announced it as a feature in Halo: Reach.
In addition to the space flying Sabre, you’ll also be able to board and use multiple other new vehicle additions in Halo: Reach‘s campaign. So far the Revenant, Falcon, and Sabre have been confirmed as new additions to the Halo vehicle assortment, but Bungie definitely has more vehicles in store for Halo fans that’ll allow us to explore the Halo: Reach campaign in brand new ways.
Halo: Reach has updated lots of our favorite weapons from previous versions of Halo like the DMR, Needler Rifle, Halo CE Pistol, and a few others, but Halo: Reach will also features several new weapons for us to own with in Halo: Reach‘s campaign. The brand new Focus Rifle, Grenade Launcher, Plasma Launcher, Plasma Repeater and other new Halo: Reach weapons will make Halo: Reach‘s campaign even more enjoyable than it already is.
In Halo: Reach you play Noble 6, a replacement for the fallen Spartan in a group named Noble Team. Team Noble consists of 5 of the most epic Spartans of all times and seeing how Halo: Reach takes place before Halo, you’ll get an inside view of what happened leading up to your favorite Halo games. I hardly cared for Campaign in previous Halo games and usually opted for matchmaking instead, but Halo: Reach has a storyline that I’m actually interested in.
