When my fiancé was a size 14 and under in high school he loved wearing basketball shoes, but as he got older and grew a few more inches, so did his feet. Because of this, his selection of footwear was narrowed down considerably. I decided to help him find new shoes and have found that the best place to find big shoes (in his case a size 15) is in the sale section of stores and online. After initially searching the web and finding other shoppers in a similar situation, I’ve learned that the search can be frustrating, so here is my list of great choices for men who need huge shoes.
Although Sperry’s Mako Canoe Boat shoe only has a size 14 and 15 for its Amaretto color, the rest of its colors go up to a size 13. My fiancé has reviewed the water-resistant leather as being “very comfortable and they breathe well, I can’t stress how important that is.” Because most stores don’t carry extremely large sizes, these shoes were purchased online.
2. New Balance
Even though I’m focusing on size 15’s, it impresses me that New Balance has shoes that go up to size 20, like these oxford dress shoes. All you have to do is click on the size that you’re looking for and hit the search button. If the easy shopping and abundance of big shoes isn’t enough of a reason to use their online store, consider that New Balance does free shipping. Here are the sneakers I got my fiancé for his birthday. It seems that they’ve conveniently gone on sale for $24.99 since then.
This $200 Hilgard boot runs up to a size 15 and is waterproof, making it great for all weather conditions. While the Classic Uggs run up to a size 17, the rest of the men’s designs have size 15. I know many people criticize the way Uggs look, but there are actually a lot of nice designs that aren’t the Classic look that the majority of people despise. You can’t exactly argue how comfortable they are.
This is only a small list of shoes you can get for your big feet. If none of these styles suit you, be prepared to meticulously search one online shoe store at a time. The payoff, however, is worth it.
