I love many types of chow mein dishes and when I came across Nissin Kung Pao Chicken Flavored Chow Mein in my local grocery store, I was intrigued. I decided to purchase it, try it out and write a product review all about my experience with it. Here is what I discovered!
Nissin Kung Pao Chicken Flavored Chow Mein is very affordable. I purchased it for eighty cents and that is a wonderful food deal, in my opinion. The low price made me want to try this dish, that is for sure. This meal has premium straight cut noodles, powdered chicken flavoring, cashew nut pieces, bell pepper, shitake mushrooms, sesame oil, roasted chili peppers and garlic powder, along with many other ingredients. I could not wait to try it!
Nissin Kung Pao Chicken Flavored Chow Mein is perfect for microwave cooking and that is how I chose to prepare it. This meal comes with three packets, a nuts pack, a liquid seasoning pack and a mushrooms and peppers pack. The nuts pack is not marked so, I did have to guess which one it was. You open the top of the meal container partially, pour the nuts and mushrooms pack around the noodles, add water until it reaches the fill line, which is marked on the inside tray. Then, you microwave on high for five minutes, take off the top cover, add the liquid seasoning pack and stir well. That is it! This dish is ready to serve.
The noodles in this dish are very long. They are tender and good. The chili peppers add a fiery flavor and bite to this dish. It is very spicy. Very! This meal is good but, I did have to pick the chili peppers out of it. They were just too fiery for me. After, I did that, this dish was even better. The mushrooms are delicious and for just eighty cents, I was pleased with this meal. It is easy to cook, low cal and fun to eat. Very tasty, creative and different. It is worth the money. I rate Nissin Kung Pao Chicken Flavored Chow Mein three stars out of five stars. If you love very spicy chow mein, you will like this one. Have some water handy. Whew.
