ABC just announced that it has cancelled its first new show, My Generation, after only airing two episodes. The reason for the cancellation was poor ratings. The show pulled in less than 4 million viewers, which is considered a low score for television viewing.
My Generation centered around a high school class ten years after graduation.
This makes the second new show to be cancelled this season. Fox announced the cancellation of its new show Lone Star earlier in the week.
Many fans think that the networks aren’t allowing the new shows enough time to get established. Other fans and even some industry insiders have said that they think the new shows should have debuted before the returning favorite shows to have a better chance of being seen and maybe becoming established with the fans. What do you think?
