I have been pondering the political climate of the United States for the last little while, and I’ve almost come to the conclusion that we the citizens are truly being brainwashed and held hostage by the system. It is a system that is supposed to be the government of the people and by the people, but it is anything but. This is a system composed of our elected officials, the wannabe officials, their political parties, the upper echelon of the business world, and all the attorneys involved. They have enjoyed playing with our minds and have proceeded to polarize the nation to an extent that no one can overthrow them out of a real fear “the other side might seize power.”
They have us split down between two ideals and they have us believing that everything can be fixed by an election. There are conservatives and liberals (the right ones and the idiots in my book as I have been coerced to play along as well). They have us by a leash. However, who are the ones who truly get taken care of by the system? Of course, it is the system themselves, by the use of our resources. None of our legislators are going to be hurt if they are defeated in the upcoming elections; they will keep on receiving their pay in the form of congressional retirement and they will most likely get paid big bucks either as a lobbyist continuing the corruption or by big business in some other manner.
The political parties consume the election and throw the money in a manner that truly keeps any independent candidates out of the picture (except of course, unless the candidate is filthy rich like Ross Perot). These parties do not nominate good people for the jobs, but instead hand it to the higher-ups in their fraternities. The Missouri Senatorial race that just happened is solid proof. The Democrats nominated a Carnahan which is a very common name in state politics for the last twenty years; the Republicans nominated a Blunt, which is the same thing. The money and the media were dominated by these two major candidates and everybody else gets left in the dark. Big business is behind this as well, as they can manipulate the two parties, buy people off, and control the whole thing behind the scenes. The attorneys keep it all safe as well in the corrupt court system.
Readers by now are probably saying “yeah, so what, why are you telling us this stuff we know?” Because it is time to wake up and realize the complete picture. Yes, this is my theory and I can’t prove it, but it seems to make sense. They, the “system,” want us to remain divided and polarized so we’ll keep squabbling between each other instead of going ahead and having a new revolution. It is all about money. Racism has to be kept alive and they have to have two sides in order to make it profitable. Global warming is making its biggest promoter Al Gore filthy rich (and Gore still consumes a lot of energy while making his “plea” to the rest of us to conserve). The ACLU picks on Christianity over the other beliefs as it is the majority one in America and the only way to have divided people is to mess with the majority ideals. Yet the opposites of all these controversies are not demonstrating any balls to fight as they are still “quite comfortable as well.” There is more money keeping the fight alive. And the system loves to use Hollywood; a place with rich nitwits who fall sucker to anything. They will throw their money right back at the system in the name of a cause. Of course, if a well-known rich businessman doesn’t want to belong to this group, the system will go after him. Look at Bill Gates. Why was he almost singled out and accused of monopoly when plenty of other companies could have faced the same situation.
A key example of the fraternal atmosphere the system has been transformed into is the recent bailouts. Politicians love rich people. So it was the rich people who got the relief. Also, the politicians protect their rich business friends from competition. Folks, this isn’t capitalism. An example of this claim is oil and energy. Just try to go out and open some sort of business in that field. There is a good chance the government will shut you down in the name of conservation, but it is really just about protecting their big time contributors (their sweet friends).
Look as well at the recent health care bill. Obamacare was supposed to punish the insurance companies, but it actually rewards them by making us buy from them. I also bet no one else will be able to open a health insurance company to compete with these guys and keep the prices lower; it won’t be allowed to happen. Of course, no one else can afford to open such a business. That is part of the game; keep the prices so high no one can join them in the system. Think about it. They take care of each other.
I’m just scratching the surface here I am sure, yet what is it we Americans can do? Elections won’t work, as they are rigged by the parties. It doesn’t matter who wins, as either candidate is a friend of the system. They put the candidates on a pedestal and make this grand claim that the American people are choosing their officials. The people have to quit playing their game. We need to quit, literally; quit being liberals, conservatives, Republicans, Democrats, African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Caucasian-Americans, etc. and just simply become Americans! Also, we need to renew our traditions of being self-made and living the American Dream. The current system thrives on division, on labeling, on name-calling, but just to the point where we remain civil and still obedient. They have the recipe and the way of devising it down to an artwork. There is the old saying, “United We Stand, Divided We Fall,” yet they are keeping us divided to the point where the fall just isn’t quick to happen, but it will eventually. The rich owners of the media networks pay Hannity and Colmes and their colleagues to keep us split. So let us defy them and stand united. It may be the only way to put some fear in them or even ultimately defeat the system if that is what we must do. Of course by looking at the comments from the online message boards and the continuous bickering between people who still believe in the system, this most likely won’t happen until things get very uncomfortable.
