I don’t know about you, but I’m in “Poppycock Shock” over the results of America’s Got Talent voting. This writer did not think that Prince Poppycock would make the Top 4 as his performances have been pretty average.
As discussed in a previous article, the voting for America’s Got Talent Top 4 could have gone many different ways depending on what criteria the voter was using. America has voted and the America’s Got Talent Top 4 are: Jackie Evancho, Fighting Gravity, Michael Grimm, and Prince Poppycock. Yes, I have “Poppycock Shock” over the voting results.
It was tense watching America’s Got Talent and waiting for emcee Nick Cannon to announce the winners. There were so many ways the final votes could have played out and it was basically anyone’s guess as to which four acts were going to make it into the final Top 4.
I also have to say that the show, America’s Got Talent, succeeded in pairing the competing contestants together extremely well and making it very suspenseful. The pairings were scary and even some of the contestants were a bit uncomfortable visually standing next to their competition.
America’s Got Talent started off with a huge bang. The first two America’s Got Talent contestants to learn their fate was Prince Poppycock and Michael Grasso. Both were visibly nervous while waiting to hear who was going to advance into America’s Got Talent Top 4. It came as a total surprise to this writer that Prince Poppycock beat out Michael Grasso. Both gave their best performing acts the night before, however, Michael Grasso appeared to be on top of his performance more so than Prince Poppycock.
As most of you know from reading my previous article, I had hoped that Jackie Evancho, Fighting Gravity, Michael Grimm, and Jeremy Vanschoonhoven would make America’s Got Talent Top 4. Three of those acts did make it into the finals.
If you have never watched NBC’s America’s Got Talent and would like to know what all the hype is about, just click here on NBC and you can watch any of the Top 10 performances which includes the performances of Jackie Evancho, Fighting Gravity, Michael Grimm, and Prince Poppycock who all made it into the Top 4.
Moving forward, next week’s America’s Got Talent contestants will have to perform their very best. There will be no room for flaws in their final performances. Tension will be high, nerves will be vibrating, and millions of viewers will be watching the current number one show on television.
Jackie Evancho has consistently performed without any flaws and she appears to be the one to beat. She has become the USA’s little darlin and let’s face it, we all love child prodigies. If she performs impeccably next week, she will be hard to beat.
Michael Grimm is a huge favorite with his very emotional soulful sound that America has grown to love. He, too, has had flawless performances and his last performance was his best ever as he gave up his guitar and connected with the audience. He has become a strong contender in this season’s America’s Got Talent competition.
Fighting Gravity did not perform their best this week, but they have a unique act and America chose to overlook that. They are a definite class act for Las Vegas and they have to strive to do much better in their next performance on America’s Got Talent if they want to come out on top.
Then there’s Prince Poppycock. Overall his performances have been average but this week he did step it up and gave an outstanding performance on America’s Got Talent which landed him in the Top 4. Whether or not he will be a threat to the other three performers remains to be seen, and he will have to have another extraordinary performance to beat out the others.
My predictions? I will wait and see how America’s Got Talent Top 4 perform next week, before I give my final predictions. Next week’s America’s Got Talent show could make or break any one of them.
