This week it was – surprise – the Ann show again. Just give her the title already…
The show opened with Ann talking about how her confidence is getting a boost since she’s been called first with the top picture four times. But for some reason it still looks like she’s going to cry and every other girl in the house probably wants to beat her up. She’s soooo self-absorbed it’s getting soooo annoying. The girls scream in the hallways when they discover bags of Cover Girl products.
So the first challenge this episode was to do a Wal-Mart and Cover Girl advertisement pitch. The girls were grouped in threes and told to sell talk about some new CG products to people. But the people were interviewed afterwards about how the aspiring models did. Ann was quiet. Chris was loud and interrupted others. Kacey, Esther and Kayla won the challenge and the prize; which was getting to shop at Wal-Mart’s Cover Girl cosmetics section. Wow! best prize ever. And then the girls got to compete with each other to put on the best face with their new makeup for a $1000 Wal-Mart gift card. Esther won. I’m sure she was crying inside… “Wal-Mart gift card? mutter, mutter, what does Wal-Mart have to do with high fashion?”
Anyway let’s transition to the high fashion portion of the episode. The girls found out they would be doing a shoot with famed-fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier and on Rodeo Drive no less. That’s the ritzy area of LA where a lot of expensive fashion shops are. The shoot would pair up the girls with a male model walking down the street. Silently I was cheering when Ann couldn’t walk and looked like she was about to fall over. Take that Amazon this time you’re going down and not getting top photo. HAHA. Kayla’s shoes were too small plus she doesn’t like men so she wasn’t having a good time. Jane was working it. Chelsey was paired up with Ann so was feeling competitive.
Before panel we were treated to the judges sitting around in the green room. Tyra was attempting to speak French to guest judge Patrick Demarchelier. She claimed that her French was better in France. OK.
At panel the judges liked Jane, Kendal and Chris’s photos. Kacey looked lost and a bit drag queeny. Liz looked great in her straw hat. But they lo-oooooooved Ann’s even though she had a bewildered lost look on her face… HUH. They couldn’t stop gushing about her. I had to excuse myself to go throw up.
The winner this week was… Ann. Her surprised look is getting very very super old. The judges really should start choosing other people first because her photo really wasn’t the best this time. Plus she has no self-esteem so she needs to learn to fight for herself instead of getting things handed to her. Then the photos called were Jane, Kendal, Esther, Chris, Chelsey and Liz.
Bottom two: Kayla and Kacey
Will the models please step forward. Kacey you are not connected.
Who is eliminated? Kacey.
Next episode: It’s onto the Grammy Museum and dressing each other.
