We reported not even a week ago about a grisly find in Prospect Park: two trash bags, one filled with animal entrails, and the other with a decapitated goat.
Officials thought it was a goat anyways, admitting that it could also have been a deer. They had definitely ruled out many animals however: they were pretty sure it wasn’t a hippo, bear, ostrich, or sea lion.
As it turns out, on Oct 26th the Brooklyn Paper reported that only two days after the two aforementioned bags were found, a lone goats head was discovered laying in the dirt approximately 100 feet from where the garbage bags were found just days prior.
But this time, the head was “covered in orange wax.”
Other items found nearby support the theory that the remains were used in some sort of ceremony.
So far, the only crime that has been committed, it would appear, is “illegal dumping.” And park officials are engaged in a full-on investigation.
Good luck to you guys.
