Another Peanut Fudge Recipe! 4 Ingredients
In this recipe You can either use ground salted peanuts or creamy peanut butter.
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 T. margarine
1 cup ground salted peanuts(I also use 1/4 cup + 1 teaspoon or tablespoon of creamy peanut butter)
you can never have enough of peanut butter!
Boil sugar and milk, stirring constantly for 5 minutes,
add margarine and peanuts. Mix and spread on
buttered plate. Cut while firm.
TIPS: (1)bring peanut fudge to a rolling boil and start your timing from the full rolling boil.
(2) remove from heat and add the 1 T. margarine and peanut butter.
(3) beat the peanut butter fudge until it starts to get a little hard to beat and loses its gloss somewhat.
(4) turn this recipe out on a dinner plate with recessed middle. You can use whatever You have available.
(5)I like the dinner plate as makes fudge thinner and I think I am eating less!
Note: this fudge does set up rather quickly, so when beating, be fast to spread it on the plate.
NOTE: When I was working on this this recipe I realized I did not have a picture of the fudge. I went to the kitchen to get out the four main ingredients and could only find sweetened condensed milk. I thought perhaps if I used a little more then half of the condensed and the rest water to make a third of a cup it would work. Well, it did work but set up very quickly and has a different consistency. It taste okay! Anyway, I did have a picture to post.
