I recently interviewed a fantastic photographer named Debbie after seeing her phenomenal photographs on Artfire. I was blown away and knew I wanted to ask her all about her art and her gift.
1. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Ok a little about me. I have never been good about talking about myself. My name is Debbie. And I can be found on artfire as extremeearth.
2. What inspires your photography?
I work a full time job. And in my spare time, I love to take pictures. I bought my first DSLR camera last Christmas as a present to myself. When I went to Alaska in April for my sons wedding I found myself taking pictures of everything. Alaska is Gods Land. Everything is so beautiful. I started to see things in a new and different way. It’s the emotion behind a photos that I love. I take my camera everywhere now. I have hundreds of pictures that will be added to Artfire in the next few weeks.
3. Is your photography a hobby, a business or both?
Photography is a hobby and now a business. I work in a pet store as my full time job and take pictures of the customers pets. The customers love it so much they have started buying my pictures.

You can find me on Zazzle as Butterflysarebloomin and Ebay as reallysmartdeals. I have sold some of my pictures at local craft shows this summer.

I find that promoting my store all over the internet is a great way to get exposure. I promote my Artfire store on Reallysmartdeals.com, facebook, twitter, digg, ning, and many forums.
6. What are your future goals for your photography?
My future goals for photography is to move to Alaska and open a art studio in a few years. Learn everything I can.
7. What advice do you have for other artists interested in selling online?
My advice to sell online is to be constaint. Don’t give up and promote everywhere. Get you name out there. Belong to a local craft guild is an excellent way to networking with other artists and crafters.
