An unusually raucous scene unfolded outside of downtown Royal Oak’s Blackfinn Restaurant and Saloon late on the evening of October 28. Police say that three men approached three other men outside of the establishment, which is in the 500 block of South Main Street, and approached three other men. They proceeded to call the victims names. Right on the heels of the verbal assault, the three suspects punched and assaulted the victims.
Directly after the assault, the three suspects fled on foot. After being called to the scene, Royal Oak police officers tracked the three men down in an alley at South Center Street, just south of West Fifth Street. The men were arrested and charged with assault and battery.
