The Ferndale Police Department has announced that they have joined the Michigan Sheriff’s Association’s STOPPED Program. Parents of teen drivers are encouraged to look into the MSA STOPPED Program so that they can keep closer track of their teen driver’s driving record.
If you register with the MSA STOPPED Program, you will receive a sticker for the window of the car that you teen driver uses. This sticker will let the police know that you want to be notified if your teen driver was pulled over.
The officer will send a postcard to your home with the date of the stop, the time, the location, the driver of the car’s name, the number of passengers, the reason for stopping your teen driver, and if a ticket was issued. Even if a citation is not issued, you will still receive notification of the stop through the MSA STOPPED Program.
