The results show for Week 6 of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ started with the three couples that were at the bottom of the leaderboard this week. Bristol and Mark, Kurt and Anna, and Jennifer and Derek awaited their fate. Kurt Warner was the first to be deemed safe for another week. Bristol Palin followed right behind him. But, former favorite Jennifer Grey was told that she was in jeopardy.
As always, outside entertainers joined in the fun on ‘DWTS’. For Tuesday’s show, the musical group Heart performed their hit “Barracuda” to go along with the rock and roll themed week. Also in the house was a group of kid musicians called ‘School of Rock’, in addition to the Macy’s Stars of Dance. Then, the fabulous Kylie Minogue performed her single “Get Outta My Way” from the album ‘Aphrodite’.
The next two couples to learn their destiny were Kyle and Lacey, Rick and Cheryl. Unfortunately, Kyle’s enthusiasm wasn’t quite enough to keep him safe…yet. He was put in jeopardy this week, while Rick remained safe.
The final two couples to learn their fate were Audrina and Tony, Brandy and Maks. Audrina was shown crying in the confessional after her performance Monday night. Was her character improvement enough to keep her in the competition? Unfortunately, she joined Kyle and Jennifer in the bottom three, while it was announced that Brandy was safe.
So, how is it possible that two of the stars who had been at the top of the leaderboard at one point or another in the contest were at the bottom now? In fact, Audrina and Jennifer became the bottom two when Kyle was deemed safe. The judges were even astonished about the results. The celebrity with the lowest number of votes was Audrina Patridge.
The viewers must have agreed with the judges’ assessment that Patridge wasn’t tapping into her emotion enough. It is interesting that the stars who were formerly at the bottom (i.e. Bristol) are now switching roles with the stars who were leading (i.e. Jennifer). I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds in the coming weeks!
