In our fast paced world new technologies are integrating themselves into day-to-day routines of most Americans. Our televisions, workplaces, and homes have become not only pillars of our everyday lives but also beacons of technological advances. Our cars are no different. Each year car companies strive to make things just a little better, a little different than the last year’s model and one way to do that is to add new technologies. Here are a few new technologies that are popping up in cars across the world.
1. Electric Cars. These have been around for some time and have quite frankly been the butt of many jokes over the years. Recently, however, companies have been looking into developing electric cars that are more efficient, dependable, and practical for everyday people. These new electric cars have more power than their predecessors and are more stylish and inexpensive. These cars are no longer simply something to wonder at, they are becoming viable forms of transportation.
2. Infrared Blind spot Detection. This technology allows drivers to know when someone is in their blind spot thanks to infrared sensors on their car that detect other vehicles. This means that drivers are safer on the road even if they do not see the other cars that are around them. Because of this advanced technology there will likely be fewer accidents because the driver’s blind spot will essentially be gone.
3. Entertainment Systems. The Delphi HD radio uses an AM/FM tuner to decode HD broadcasts giving the user the quality of an HD broadcast without special HD tuners. This also allows the user to receive HD channels without expensive subscription fees and charges. This brings the AM/FM radio age into the 21st century and allows everyone to experience HD radio without having to practically give up their first born child for it.
Any of these technologies is on the cutting edge of automotive technology. All of the aforementioned advances are being perfected and adapted over and over again to make sure they are the best that they can be for the consumer. Many cars come with tons of advanced safety features and entertainment features, if you are not sure if your car or a car that you want to purchase comes with these features manufacturer websites often have profiles of individual cars so that you can see just what features are available.
