It was cold and raining, with snow threatening Lake Tahoe. The wind was blowing about 60 miles an hour, much less than what we’d encountered to this point of our journey. I had no guess as to whether these beautiful trees would be bare when I came back on Tuesday. I dug out my trusty camera and took two shots around me before I scrambled back into the truck to continue the journey towards Sacramento. Here is a Haiku in honor of the event.
Capture the beauty
Astounding are the colors
Rain cannot destroy
Shortly after we continued on our journey, the snow started. I am very glad I took these pictures when I did.
