The Bachelor Pad winner 2010 was selected last night. Of course, choosing the Bachelor Pad winner 2010 in the finale wasn’t enough, as the winner had to go through more crazy antics first. Naturally, the finale was straight out of Dancing With the Stars, as the last contestants had to dance in the last competition. And of course, the likes of Jake Pavelka and Melissa Rycroft had to serve as judges. But finally, they got around to picking the Bachelor Pad winner 2010 among the three couples — yet even when David Good and Natalie Getz won, the finale wasn’t over.
The sixth and final first-season episode of the third Bachelor series pitted three couples from past Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons against each other. Kiptyn Locke and Tenley Molzahn faced Jesse Kovacs and Elizabeth Kitt, along with David Good and Natalie Getz.
To pick the Bachelor Pad winner 2010, the show did yet another crossover with Dancing With the Stars, which will take its Monday time slot back shortly. Jake Pavelka was on Dancing With the Stars for a little while, so he was considered an ideal judge, along with Melissa Rycroft and Trista Sutter.
The conceit was that whoever won the dance-off would go to the finals, and pick which couple would go with them. Once Locke and Molzahn — aka KipTen — won, they chose Good and Getz for the finals. But that was their big mistake, as the castoffs chose the Good-Getz couple as the ultimate Bachelor Pad winner.
Of course, just picking a winning couple was not enough for this finale. It might be enough for the Bachelor and Bachelorette, but this series is new and has to distinguish itself. As such, Good and Getz got one final test, as they could either split the $250,000 prize, or keep it to themselves. But if they both wanted to keep it, the other contestants would split it instead.
Despite suspicion that Getz might want to keep the cash, she agreed to split it. As such, the Bachelor Pad winners 2010 got out of the house with $125,000 each, while those they defeated had to settle for their extra 15 minutes.
The end to this short first season likely assured that the Bachelor empire has a successful third leg to build on. But the next Bachelor Pad winner probably won’t be chosen until the summer, if the show does come back. For now, they must plan the next season of The Bachelor, although they still don’t have their new title character yet.
Now that the Bachelor Pad winners and losers are out of the house, ABC is set to go dancing full time, with Dancing With the Stars’ big return coming next Monday.
