Utz Baked BBQ flavor potato crisps are a great alternative to chips when you are on a diet. But how do they taste?
To me, the Utz baked potato crisps are a cross between a cracker and a potato chip. They are much thicker than chips. They have a generous sprinkling of seasoning on each chip. You definitely get all of the BBQ flavor from the baked Utz chips. The have a bold smoky taste.
The baked chips are similar in texture to the 365 Brand Baked Potato Chips found at Whole Food Market.
In terms of reduced fat, the Utz Baked BBQ flavor potato crisps have less fat than the reduced fat Utz chips. Eating baked chips is a good way to handle a food craving on a diet.
The baked Utz has 3 grams of fat per serving compared to the Utz reduced fat chips with 6.7 grams of fat and the regular Utz chips with 10 grams of fat.
I purchased the Utz baked chips from Harris Teeter grocery store in North Carolina while on vacation, but you can also order them from the Internet.

I won’t lie. The baked crisps do not taste as good as the regular barbecue potato chips by Utz. Most people could eat an entire bag of the regular Utz chips. But the Utz potato crisps will satisfy a craving while on a diet.
For taste, I give the Utz BBQ potato crisps 4 out of 5 stars, compared to the regular Utz which gets a 5 out of 5 stars.
