I’ve enjoyed many products from Bath & Body Works, and it’s pretty typical for me to receive holiday gifts from my family from this store. This year my Mom purchased me a set of shampoo and conditioner from them. I thought it was a neat idea that they were taking their scents that many people love and releasing them in hair care. Because my hair can easily get dry, my Mom purchased me products from the Moisturizing line.
The Moisturizing products from this company claim to be appropriate for: ” dry, damaged or color-treated hair; Maximize your pampering experience with this superior moisturizing conditioner; Nourishing, pH-balanced formula seals moisture into each strand; Helps protect dry, color-treated or damaged hair against future damage;
Leaves hair smoother and shinier”
The bottle is 12 fl. ounce and comes in an attractive, pink decorated bottle with Cherry Blossom logo and pictures. Where the shampoo product inside is a pretty girlie pink, this matching conditioner is a really really pale light pink, almost white. The retail price is $7.50, though Bath & Body Works often has 2 for $10 deals on all of their hair care.
I had never their hair care products, as mentioned above, and I had never tried anything in the Cherry Blossom scent.
“Light and alluring, this fresh scent combines the heady fragrance of spring’s first blossoms with soft, delicate musk.”
Though not a huge floral fan, I quickly fell in love with this. The scent was very delicate and light, unlike many florals that I feel are heavy and irritate my nose. It smelled very feminine and I loved it for that fact each time I used it. The conditioner itself was very creamy and thick without being overdone. It definitely felt like a typical conditioner going on, and thankfully not an overly thick or deep one. The product easily squeezed out of the bottle and into my hand. It spread nicely and stayed in my hair. It rinsed out very well.
Unfortunately my hair never felt any of the softness and moisture that I was so hoping for. Day after day of using this I noticed that my hair felt drier. I had to admit it … this wasn’t moisturizing anything. I tried using this conditioner with other shampoos, hoping that maybe just the combination of the 2 wasn’t working.
Nope. Bath & Body Works Signature Collection Moisturizing Conditioner Cherry Blossom just wasn’t working period.
Since it was a gift I didn’t feel like I’d “lost” anything. But I did find a scent now that I loved, just in a product that I didn’t. I fell in love with the Cherry Blossom scent and dream of it in other hair products that might work for me.
