Downtown Colorado Springs, CO is an energetic happening place, from museums, parks to businesses and more. The homes in this area are spectacular and one of a kind. It is a beautiful serene place year round. The city was designed in the late 1800’s by General Palmer and his wife “Queenie”. It was nicknamed, “Little London”. Nestled beneath the mountains it is a beautiful place.
The downtown area is the place to head for if you are thinking about taking a tour of the city.Events frequently take place in this area; it is the hub of the city. The downtown area is a favorite for hosting community events from street pancake breakfasts, farmers markets, parades and concerts in the park.
You can’t help but fall in love with Colorado Springs, its fun to stroll down the sidewalks and browse the cute boutiques, the people are friendly and the area is clean. Some popular businesses include Poor Richards which is a unique and down to earth bookstore and coffee shop where many of the locals frequent. It’s also home to the fine arts center and more.
It’s a city with a Church on nearly every corner, a wonderful place to call home. And, if you like the night life you are in luck, this area is known for its variety of clubs, restaurants and bars. The city comes to life in the evening making it a fun place to be. Punk, Country, Rock, Folk you name it they’ve got it. And, if you are up for some spectacular concerts than check out the Pikes Peak Event Center, the auditorium can seat up to 2,000 guests.
Downtown Colorado Springs has it all entertainment, cultural, educational and variety. I’ve been a native of Colorado Springs for 21 years now and the downtown area is tops!
