There is little doubt that New York City is in the grips of bedbug pandemonium. In the last month, bedbugs have been reported infiltrating city landmarks like the Empire State Building, using Internet giant Google’s New York City offices, illegally inhabiting Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes’s downtown office, and having a bizarre bedbug porno starring Isabella Rossellini air on the “Daily Show.”
The critters continue to attack public spaces and movie theaters. Several weeks ago, the Pavilion Theatre in Park Slope had to deal with an infestation and then more recently the AMC in Times Square. Rumors swirled about the Court Street UA Theater in Brooklyn Heights for weeks, but now someone has sent a letter to the FiPS blog and two people have posted reports on The Bed Bug Registry.
Any politician looking to win re-election should promise to rid the the city of these creepy creatures.
