If you are new to using scrapbook software and graphic software, you may be a bit confused on how to use the color panel in Digital Scrapbook Artist Compact. In this guide, I am going to explain the color panel and explain how to use it.
Opening Your Color Panel in Digital Scrapbook Artist Compact
Let’s begin with opening your color panel in Digital Scrapbook Artist Compact. Your color panel should already be open. If it is not, you can open it by clicking the Color tab in the top right panel. Your color panel is located in the top, right section of your program. There are three tabs in that panel. We will focus on the color panel in this guide.
Understanding the Color Boxes in Digital Scrapbook Artist Compact
When you change the fill colors and border colors of objects you are working on, you will need to make sure the right box is selected. These boxes are found in the left corner of the color panel. The first box is your line or border color box. The second box below that is your color fill box.
So, if you want to change the border color of a shape or text, you will first need to click the top color box in the left corner to select it. Once it is selected, you can then click the color in the color wheel or the palette to change the color. The new color will then be applied to the border of the object you are changing. You will need to make sure that the object you are changing the color of is selected before you attempt to change the color or else it will not be applied.
If you wanted to change the color fill of the object, you would need to select the object. Then you would need to click the second box in the top, left corner of the color panel. That will activate the color fill. Then you can select the color in the color panel you want to use.
When selecting your colors, you can choose from the color wheel or from the color palette. If you need a color that is not in the palette, it would be best to use the color wheel.
