If you have someone in your family that could definitely benefit from walk, you can fool them into exercising during the holiday season. Otherwise, there is a great social event that involves your neighbors planned for the Sunday after Thanksgiving Day.
November 28th, 2010, WalkSF has planned an informal walk that will continue through the Mission and Bernal Hill and end at Mission Pie. It is $5.00 for nonmembers and free if you are a member.
As a disabled person, I saw this as an opportunity to do what I can instead of avoiding the whole walk. Although I will not be able to complete the entire journey, I intend to meet up with the walkers as they make their way down to Mission Pie from Bernal Heights.
I created a Google map that explains all of the points of the walk in case other disabled folks want to join in for the walk. It is extremely easy to visualize on the map. For right now, Bernal Hill is a little bit vague as far as an exact end point.
However, it stands to reason that it will be in the same place that it is every year. This is pretty much an annually planned event at some point and most likely that meeting point will be where Mission meets the Bernal Hill.
See you there! Don’t forget to bring Great Great Aunt Firecracker. She belongs there too.
You will need to RSVP at the website or on Facebook.
