The Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center (BHNC) is looking for help to continue the community support that it has been providing to Bernal Heights 32 years.
Since the center opened its doors in 1978, BHNC has provided community outreach in a variety of ways, including managing 373 low income and 135 homeless housing units.
Many youth services are supported by BHNC as well: job placement services, gang prevention, youth leadership development and the Excelsior youth center.
There is also an array of senior services provided by BHNC. Social services, crafts, food distribution and more are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
With budget cuts and shortfalls, your support of BHNC’s nonprofit efforts is needed now more than ever. Visit them online to donate or become a member. You can also make donations of gently used items to Gifts on the Hill, the BHNC thrift store located on Cortland Ave.
