The Northgate Reel Theater is a discount theater offering Real D 3D on select screens. While the movies available don’t appear opening weekend, the wait is well worth it economically. In 2010, the theater offered 3D ticket sales at 4 dollars per ticket. On Tuesdays and for all midnight showings ,the price drops to 3 dollars. Located at 6950 W. State St. in Boise, the theater is clean, offers an array of concessions and saves movie-lovers a lot of money.
Edwards Boise Stadium 22 & IMAX is located at 7709 Overland Road in Boise and is owned by the Regal Entertainment Group. As such, the technology and theater rooms are state of the art and current. Real D 3D is offered with a 4 dollar surcharge to full price tickets and IMAX 3D, in 2010, will cost over 15 dollars a ticket yet promises to feel like the images are jumping into your lap.
Overland Park Cinema at 7051 Overland Park Road in Boise promises the best prices in town. Their new addition of Technicolor 3D screens are priced with only a dollar surcharge on normal movie tickets. Currently, in 2010, 3D movies cost 2 dollars on Tuesdays and 4 dollars for adults on other days. As an additional bonus, they sell specials called ‘food tickets’ which grant 3D admission plus 2 small food items or 1 large item for only 4 dollars on Tuesdays, and 5 dollars all other days.
