Sometimes, the best holiday is the one spent on vacation. Personally, I could use one of those myself. Holiday burn-out is still leftover from last year and I’m not feeling up to the hustle and bustle of the upcoming holiday season. For those of you who join my sentiments, I took it upon myself to look up some of the best Christmas vacation spots for us. Hey, who doesn’t need break once in awhile? We deserve it don’t we? Here’s some suggestions for Christmas vacations I found on the travel channel site. They do sound enticing!
Roam with live reindeer in Lapland, along with a variety of cold weather thriving wildlife like the Arctic hare and fox. Choose from common types of winter sports to keep you busy like racing toboggans and snowmobiling, to more unique to the area types of activities like lassoing reindeers, how’s that for different? Or, you could always try snow hockey. Then, when the sun goes down settle yourself in for a breathtaking view of the Northern Lights. The kids won’t be disappointed when they get an eyeful of Santa’s control center as well as the Elf School there!
Walt Disney World Florida
When isn’t Florida the hub of celebration? That goes for the Christmas season as well. Let the Christmas cheer begin in the good old Sunshine State while you enjoy a not so white Christmas watching Mickey mouse gleefully marching down the street in the Jingle Jungle Parade, or perhaps singing with the Harlem Gospel choir, or maybe you’ll all enjoy getting a glimpse of Christmas cultures worldwide at Epcot Center’s Christmas Around the World. It’s all full of Christmas cheer! Hey, who said we need a white Christmas to feel the jolly vibes of the season?
New Hampshire’s Polar Express
This trip sounds truly enchanting for everyone but the little ones will have a magical time as they make their way through the White Mountains for a solid 2 hour adventure that will have everyone breathless with Christmas joy! Literally hundreds of kids in their best pajama attire trudge their way through this spectacle of snowy peaks for a vacation that will become one of their most memorable, count on it!
New York’s North Pole
If you can’t make your way up to the real North Pole for a visit, you could always consider going to North Pole, New York for an interesting and fun Christmas vacation. Just tell the kids that your in the “north pole” and all that’s left is to enjoy the Christmas cheer with a visit to Santa’s workshop, along with a real candy maker that can whip up a sweet Christmas treat in no time, as well as a real glassblower that demonstrates glassblowing Christmas ornaments. Sounds like a treat for all ages! Who said this is only for kids?!
With variety like this to choose from, you shouldn’t have too much trouble making a decision on a Christmas vacation that everyone will love! Whether it’s white or not!
