It’s time to start thinking about your Halloween costume for this season. Party City recently released some of the big trends for 2010. Here are a few ideas that have been making waves for you to consider.
Toy Story Characters
Woody and gang are back in the spotlight this year after the release of their new movie Toy Story 3. You could be not only Woody, but also spaceman Buzz Lightyear, cowgirl Jesse or even a green Army Man. Most of these costumes could be made at home, but unless you’re very creative and ambitious, you might want to leave Buzz to the experts and buy the costume. Many stores seem to be carrying these costumes this year including Wal-Mart, Sears, Target and Toys-R-Us.
Our Nation’s 44th president is a Halloween trend again this year. No matter which side of the political landscape you land on, an Obama costume might be for you. You can find President Obama masks (and Michelle too!) on www.amazon.com or here.
The upcoming release of The Green Lantern movie with Ryan Reynolds is generating significant buzz and that buzz has translated into a costume trend. You may not have Ryan’s abs (not many people do…) but you can fake it here. Don’t forget the ring!
Some people didn’t care for Ironman 2, but that’s not stopping them from dressing up as the troubled superhero this Halloween. You can find these costumes everywhere including Walgreen’s, Wal-Mart and www.amazon.com .
Break out the parachute pants and stock up on the Aqua Net, the 80’s are back. 1980’s fashion trends hit their peak 25 years ago, but that was still recent enough for you to get some rad vintage stuff for your costume. Just think neon, lace, Miami Vice, rubber bracelets and big hair and you’ll do just fine.
