When planning a wedding the biggest decision a bride will face besides which dress to buy, is where to hold the reception. Attending a plethora of weddings in North Jersey, the following are my favorite, especially if you are having a spring wedding.
Ringwood Manor -Ringwood NJ – If you are looking to get married outdoors, Ringwood Manor is it. The beautiful landscaped scenery will make your photos remarkable and your special day even more special. After your outdoor ceremony, the bride and groom, and guests will move inside of the stone Tudor style mansion for a fairy tale reception. The mansion has been turned into a bed and breakfast type setting, so your guests can stay for the night if they choose. Ringwood Manor has it’s own private caterer and provides many different options for you to choose from. You can have dinner only, cocktail party only, and pretty much anything in between. Prices start at $125 per person.
The Brownstone – Paterson, NJ – Outside guests can wander about the luxurious patios throughout the property. Once inside, the staff of the Brownstone will impress your guests with their courteous service. This venue is one of the most elegant in the area. It is also one of the largest, with the Grand Ballroom holding up to 400 people. For weddings with fewer guests, they have several other smaller rooms. Their food is incredible. You have a lot of flexibility with the choices they offer. They offer buffet or sit down dinner. You can have cocktail hour if you choose. I recommend paying for their cocktail hour. It is well worth it. They, too, start their wedding packages for around $125 per person.
Regency Best Western – Pompton Plains, NJ – If your budget is on the tighter side, check out the Best Western Regency House. Wedding packages start at $58 a person with cash bar. It’s only about $20 more per person for open bar. Don’t be fooled by the price. This is the best wedding venue around for such a low cost. They have two rooms to accommodate both large and small events. Their cocktail hour is amazing. It is not only delicious, but the presentation is quite impressive. It is a delectable spread of hor d’oevres, cheeses, fruits, and appetizers. On the other side of the room there is a pasta and carving station. Dinner is sit down or buffet. The food is much better than your average catered event. You really get much more than what you pay for. They also offer discounted hotel room that you can block off for your guests.
