Hotel Chevalier (2007)- A short film that acts as a prequel to Wes Anderson’s “The Darjeeling Limited, the entire story plays out within the confines of a Paris hotel room but is still infused with the aura of the city. It will make you long for a sumptuous European hotel room, and of course, someone lovely to share it with. And after all, every person who wants to visit Paris plans to visit with their significant other. And of course, there is a nude Natalie Portman, a draw for many people.
French Kiss (1995)– Meg Ryan travels to Paris to win back her fiance, who has left her for a French woman. But on the plane, she finds herself attracted to a thief and ends up traveling all over France with him and slowly falling in love. This romantic comedy sums up many fears and hopes for travelers planning to visit Paris.
Before Sunset (2004)– The sequel to 1995’s “Before Sunrise”, the movie follows the story of an American writer and a French woman who cross paths by chance in Paris nine years after they spent the night together in Vienna. The two spend their time walking all around Paris, and you get to see many cafes, gardens, and other points of interest.
The Last Time I Saw Paris (1954)– Featuring performances from Donna Reed and Elizabeth Taylor, this film takes place in Paris just after the end of World War II. An American journalist falls in love with a beautiful woman in Paris, but the story ends in tragedy. The film captures a Paris of decades past, but still lures thousands of tourists to Paris every year.
