Big Brother 12 episode 28 aired on Thursday, September 9. Big Brother 12 episode 28 revealed what had taken place at the end of Part 1 to the final Head of Household competition, one that took place on Tuesday, but which wasn’t shown until Wednesday night. When the Wednesday night episode ended, the final three houseguests were perched up on vines trying to be the last man standing in an endurance challenge.
Final Big Brother 12 Head of Household Competition — Part 1
Part 1 of the final Head of Household competition continued on Thursday night, with all three guys (Hayden, Lane, and Enzo) still up on the vines trying to win Part 1 of the competition. The way that this last Head of Household competition was going to work was in three parts, with the winner of Part 1 getting a spot in Part 3, and then the two losers of Part 1 playing another challenge in Part 2. The winner there faces off against the winner in Part 1 in a third challenge to decide the winner of the final Head of Household.
It seemed that all three houseguests were pretty good at this endurance challenge, and the held on to their vines quite well as they were continuously slammed into a wall and passed through a waterfall. Then they turned on the rain, and the three guys were getting absolutely soaked in the challenge. They each had their own strategy to stick it out on the little wooden seat, but it looked like it would be hard for any guy to survive this challenge for any length of time.
Enzo was the first one to fall from the vines after about 19 minutes in the competition. That left just Lane and Hayden competing for the victory in Part 1 of the Head of Household challenge. It was a typical showing for Enzo in these endurance challenges, but it also meant that one of the other guys would also be winning their first endurance challenge of the season. After Enzo fell off, he went into the house and started making himself soup and pizza to enjoy his time while the other two guys kept competing.
Lane and Hayden seemed a bit frustrated that Enzo had brought the food outside, and they appeared very miserable out in the rain. Neither guy wanted to make a deal, because they each thought that the winner was going to select Enzo to go into the final two. That kept them both working hard at it, and finally we had the first endurance challenge of the season where someone didn’t just throw the competition. After about two hours up three, Lane fell off, giving Hayden the Head of Household win in Part 1.
Big Brother 12 Episode 28 Recap
After showing the taped footage of the endurance challenge (taped from Tuesday), CBS started showing more of what had taken place in the house after Britney was evicted. Lane and Hayden were both worn out from the challenge, but Lane knew right away that he was going to have to begin studying for what might be presented in the second part of the Head of Household competition.
Day 69 was where host Julie Chen started interviewing the final three (in pretend live presentation again), where the three guys talked to her about how hard the Brigade alliance was to keep a secret for so long. They also discussed how the jury might interpret what had taken place in the house, and whether they would be really upset. She then got into the rules of how things were going to go, with Enzo and Lane competing in Part 2, and the revelation that Part 3 won’t take place until the live Big Brother 12 season finale next Wednesday between the two winners.
They then began showing an interview with Enzo’s wife, where she talked about what it was like to live with him, interspersed with comments he made while inside the house. It looked like a really loving family where he had come from, and it was interesting to see some of the back-story to Enzo before he walked into the Big Brother house. His wife even went out and got their daughter a penguin when he was forced to wear the penguin suit for a full week in the house.
More Footage of the Big Brother 12 Jury House — Ragan Arrives
Ragan arrived at the Big Brother 12 Jury House on Thursday’s episode, and he gave immediate hugs to everyone when he saw them (including Rachel and Matt). He presented the DVD of his eviction and the Power of Veto competition that he lost to get sent out of the house. After watching it, Matt pulled Ragan aside to tell him about the lies he had told in the house. To put it bluntly; Ragan was not happy. Ragan was pretty shocked that Matt would lie about his wife being sick, and he needed time without Matt around.
After a while, Ragan revealed that he had lied about his background, and that he was a professor in real life. It sparked off an argument between Ragan and Rachel, where Ragan stated that Rachel was the reason for every argument that took place in the house this season. Rachel then pointed out that there were no arguments in the Jury House until Ragan got there. The footage ended with Rachel storming out, and Matt not really having to deal with any drama for his lies (in the footage shown).
Final Big Brother 12 Head of Household Competition — Part 2
Enzo and Lane faced off in the second part of the Head of Household competition, where they had to figure out morphed photographs from the house. The competition was two minutes long, with the winner simply being the person that got the most correct answers in the time provided. Lane finished his in one minute and 13 seconds after going first, getting all of the images correct. Enzo went second, and really didn’t have a good handle on the competition at all. He finished in one minute and 43 seconds, but obviously didn’t go faster than Lane, giving Lane the win in Part 2. Now Lane and Hayden will face off in Part 3 to decide the final Head of Household for Big Brother 12.
