This Big Brother 12 Finale will occur tonight, answering a lot of questions left up in the air. Not only who wins, but whether or not any of the cast will go to Steamboat, what Britney’s reaction will be to her burned down house, and how will the cast react to the news that Ragan was the saboteur.
The most pressing questions viewers most want answered from tonight’s finale go beyond just who won this reality show competition, but involve drama, suspense and intrigue that involve cast members in the jury house.
The most recent question to be raised involved evicted houseguest and newest jury member Britney Haynes having her house burn down because of a grilling mishap of her boyfriend Nick. Throughout the show, Britney has expressed worry that she might not be engaged anymore after the show–now with her house burning down, viewers can wonder if she will want to stay engaged. Even though this is breaking news in Arkansas about Britney’s house (which seems to involve at least $50,000 of damage), the producers and boyfriend have decided not to share this news with Britney for fear that she might lose focus.
Ironically, Britney is in the lead of informal polls reported by Jokerupdates.com to be America’s favorite houseguest. With the possible $25,000, the $10,000 she won in a contest during the show, and the stipend she receives from being on the show, she might have enough money to repair the damage. In fact, during Big Brother, Britney had complained of her hand-me-down furniture, suggesting she might use her winnings to buy better house furnishings. We can only hope that she had renter’s insurance (she rented this home with Nick, her boyfriend, prior to her going on Big Brother).
Another pressing question that is sure to be the focus of tonight’s finale is how the cast will react to Ragan’s news that he was the saboteur. But this news might end up being overshadowed if Matt confesses his “big lie” about his wife having a disease to the final three. In fact, the drama within the jury house and having to do with the jury members themselves might end up being the unexpected Big Brother always says to expect.
Finally, with Lane and Hayden obsessively talking about their proposed trip to the music fest Steamboat, we have to wonder if 1) they will give a final plug/shout-out in either of their winning speeches and/or 2) if they actually end up going next year. One of the two is going to be in the final two, so we can expect some reference to the show, if they remember it in their glee of winning at least $50,000.
Other unanswered questions that are a little less pressing include:
Whether the “Meow Meow” Enzo will be purring with delight from winning some money or be a completely shut-out kitty?
How much makeup will Julie Chen decide to wear on this final night until the next season?
Will Brendon propose to Rachel, turning this show into a Bachelor-Big Brother mutant?
Will this season finale be true to its motto: “Expect the Unexpected?” or will it finish off in the truly predictable fashion that seems to have marked Big Brother 12?
