Big Brother Season 12 Episode 22 went at break neck speed on Thursday night. Julie Chen came on in the beginning and said that there would be a double eviction and later revealed it to the house.
Lots of things were brewing and the main thing that was hot was the heat on Matt’s neck after he was put up as a replacement for Brendon who won the Power of Veto on Wednesday. Matt was hoping that the Brigade would come through and be able to convince Britney to put up Ragan instead. What he didn’t realize is that is why he is on the block. Ragan said he would have fallen on his sword for Matt and in the end, Matt took the sword and stabbed Ragan in his back. Britney didn’t trust Matt anymore after he was willing to throw him best friend in the house under the bus. Matt says that he has to pull a rabbit out of his hat and I don’t think he is that good of a magician. Enzo mentions in the diary room that the Brigade is going after anyone they don’t trust. Matt is first, then Brendon, Ragan and Britney. It looks like Enzo is looking for a Brigade final three. My only question is, does he really have to wear that penguin suit until the end of this season?
Matt tries to talk to Ragan who says he doesn’t want to be bothered at the moment and Matt immediately goes to Britney to try to find out what is wrong. Britney doesn’t really have her game face on when she responds and Matt puts two and two together to figure out that Britney must have told Ragan about his betrayal. Matt then goes to talk to Ragan and tries to do damage control by saying he was trying to save himself but that everyone sees Ragan as the guy campaigning for Matt. Ragan doesn’t want anyone to associate him with Matt so he goes to set the record straight. Enzo tells Ragan that they were trying to be fair and were going to split the vote. Ragan who is a super intelligent College Professor understands this to mean that by splitting the vote, Enzo meant, splitting it between Matt, Enzo, Hayden and Lane. Ragan now knows about the alliance. When Ragan tells his suspicions to Matt, Matt doesn’t really confirm or deny. Matt tries to use this as ammunition and tells the Brigade that Ragan knows about them. Not sure why Matt is still fighting because he is pretty much on his way to the jury house.
Julie breaks in live and tells everyone that they will do a whole week of Big Brother in one night which means two people are leaving the house tonight. Julie gives both Matt and Enzo the opportunity to say why they should get to stay. Enzo gives a classic in your face “it is what it is and its gonna be what its gonna be” speech that cracks everyone up. Matt gives his usual slimy complimentary happy to still be here speech. Next the house votes 4-0 to evict Matt which is no surprise to him. Matt says his goodbyes and joins Julie. She asks Matt if he regrets throwing the HOH competition on Sunday and Matt says he does. He goes on to say that he was so confident that he was safe and that he didn’t think anything of losing HOH on purpose. Matt thinks that was his biggest mistake. What he didn’t feel good about was turning on Ragan in the end. Oh yes, Matt, you reap what you sow. I didn’t believe for a minute that if he won, he would donate some of his $500,000 prize to the foundation that supports the rare bone disorder he lied about his wife having. Off to the jury house Matt goes and the other house guests get ready for the next Head of Household competition.
This HOH competition is just one question which is which two houseguests have been HOH two times. The first person to get the answer right is HOH. Hayden wins and right away he has to nominate two people for eviction. Hayden chooses Brendon and Ragan. Up next is the Power of Veto competition and I couldn’t tell you anything about it because I was so excited that my Ragan won. He, of course removes himself from the block in animated fashion and Britney goes up as the replacement.
The house votes next and Brendon is evicted. Brendon can’t even answer Julie’s questions because he seems to be disoriented. He can’t believe he is no longer in the house and says that he thought he was still in the house. He says the Big Brother House is like a really nice prison. Julie asks if he has plans to continue a relationship with Rachel outside of the house and he says he will get her to change to UCLA. Julie tells Brendon he played a good game and I agree. Now he can go and be with his girlfriend. The Final five are Hayden, Lane, Enzo, Britney and Ragan. While I don’t see how Ragan can win, unless he keeps winning competitions, I would be happy if he did. However between those who are left, I don’t mind any of them winning either. Big Brother Season 12 has a great final five. Good Luck Fab Five and Happy Watching Folks!
