Back on September 28, a public meeting was held to discuss a non-motorized plan in Royal Oak, making it easier and safer for bicyclists to get around the city. After the meeting, a group calling themselves the Bike & Dine Committee got together and has organized an gathering of sorts to take place on October 21.
The event will begin at Lily’s seafood in Royal Oak at 5:30 p.m. The group plans to stay for between a half hour and an hour and then leave to hit multiple restaurants and bars in Royal Oak and Berkley. Planned stops are at Amici’s Pizza, for appetizers, Royal Oak Brewery, for dinner, Pronto’s, for desert, and optional drinks ay Lily’s afterwards. The event will take place rain or shine.
If you would like to participate, email Tom Regan (email@example.com) so they have a rough estimate of how many people will be involved. They have also set up a Facebook page where you can RSVP.
