An 86-year-old Birmingham man with Alzheimer’s disease was found dead Sept. 17 near Woodward and Oak Street. He had been missing since Sept. 3. He was last seen walking away from a luncheon at the Community House in downtown Birmingham. No foul play was suspected.
It was great that the community gathered together to search for him. Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease that impacts loved ones. My heart goes out to his friends and family.
