Members of the Birmingham Parks & Recreation Board would like to know which parks in our community should be dog-friendly parks and which parks should be strictly human-only parks. The long-standing policy that bans people from bringing their dogs to a number of our city parks is up for debate, while our first official dog park is being created at the Lincoln Hills Golf Course, scheduled to open later this fall.
The Parks & Recreation Board has been conducting a survey, but in order to make sure all of our views our heard, you can contact them at (248) 530-1700. The results from the survey will be discussed at the Parks & Recreation Board’s meeting on Oct. 5.
