Sometimes things in the world of fashion are bizarre and that is perfectly alright. There have been many different celebrities that stand out because of their eclectic fashion. In lieu of the recent Lady Gaga “meat dress” incident, I thought it was only fitting to show some other weird fashions. These five pieces are beyond bizarre for most, but someone like Gaga could probably rock them, right?
Bacon Scented and Bacon Printed Tuxedo
The description should pretty much speak for itself. This actual tuxedo smells like bacon (though not sure how they actually captured the scent). The tuxedo retails for $99.95. Basically, you can smell and look like bacon for only a hundred dollars. The store that sells this odd piece of fashion is Archie McPhee and it is known for it’s “weird” stock of items. Got bacon?
Dress Scented Like Old Wine
While this dress isn’t exactly up for sale yet, you can be certain someone will jump at the chance to wear it. Researchers are using fermented fabric to create bacteria that “grow” on to make the dress smell like old wine or even beer. This dress will have to be kept moist in order to avoid tearing of the fermented fabric. To read more about the process of making the dress, visit here.
These shoes are shaped exactly like your foot with emphasis on showing each individual toe. They are available for both men and women and are produced by a company called Five Fingers (ironic name right?). They retail for around $100 each, with this particular one costing $110. These shoes are also kin to a glove for your foot. You can still move each toe as you would normally when not wearing shoes. The company has many different types of “toe shoes”, which are said to enhance the barefoot experience. Red carpet anyone?
Human Hair Dress
This dress isn’t on the market yet, but it sure did cause a stir when it was revealed at a fashion show in 2007. It is made from 165 ft of blond hair. Can you imagine how much hair it would take to produce mass quantities of this dress? More than likely this was just something to get the crowd buzzing about the designers line and bring in more revenue. This would definitely be something Gaga could pull off!
