You see well by all respects
Not a hint of disease to detect
But blind as a bat you truly are
By a hidden, rotting scar
No soap can wash it away
No doctor’s ointment to assay
That blindness of hte devil’s wile
Eating away the soul to defile
Hopeless men; hopeless days
Will the blindness pass away?
I cannot percieve; I cannot see!
Is there no ear to hear this plea?
Yes, and remember this well—
There is an ear that heard the alarming bell
He saw the blindness; saw the sinner
To all of us He has been so tender
Gave His life without a fight
From sin, now, there is flight
Not by water nor by mud
But by the triumph of holy blood
Now all can see, if they chose
Or thier souls….they will lose
