The Adolescent Counseling Services is holding a community forum, Breaking The Stigma: Bullying on November 30 at 8:30 p.m. in the Media Center, 900 San Antonio Road, Palo Alto. Space is limited to 70 community members and pre-registration is required. The forum will be broadcast on Public Access TV from 9 to 10 p.m. to give everyone in the community access to the valuable information on bullying.
Our children face much different issues than most of us faced growing up. Bullying has always existed but the way bullying is done has changed. No longer does the bullying stop once a child reaches home but now with technology, bullying can be done via texting, Facebook, MySpace, and email. It’s a whole new world.
Learn more about bullying from a guest panel of experts that work with children and teenagers every day. Panelists include representatives from Adolescent Counseling Services, Outlet, Community Health Awareness Council, and Jordan Middle School.
To pre-register, email Curtis Hill at Curtis@acs-teens.org with your name and the name of your guests. Those attending the forum must be at the Media Center by 8:30 p.m. For more information, contact Adolescent Counseling Services at 650-424-0852.
