Brett Favre scandal – the NFL is getting closer to securing an interview with Jenn Sterger, ESPN Sports. The league hasn’t arrived to any solid conclusions in the investigation and is looking to secure an interview with Sterger over alleged photos and texts she received from Brett Favre in 2008 when she was a sideline reporter for the New York Jets.
Jenn Sterger’s attorney, Joseph Conway is preparing for the possibility now.
“We’re certainly headed in that direction,” Conway said. “We do have a dialogue with the NFL in terms of a potential meeting. There’s nothing definitive.”
NFL security vice president, Milt Ahlerich, interviewed Bett Favre on Tuesday over accusations made by Jenn Sterger. So far, no details have been released of the meeting.
“That’s a league issue,” Brett Favre said of the scandal this week. “That I just have to leave at that.”
Sterger herself hasn’t commented on the allegations, either. Deadspin claims to have received the photos from a third party and hasn’t gotten an interview with Sterger.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was in a web chat Thursday, stating that the NFL is “working hard” on developing a training program for teams to understand the workplace conduct. The program is expected to be effective by the end of next season.
The scandal of Brett Favre and Jenn Sterger isn’t the only motive behind the new development. The NFL had more indiscretions to deal with when Mexican TV reporter, Ines Sainz was allegedly harassed in the New York Jets locker room earlier this season.
It appears the NFL is unable to resolve the investigation into the Brett Favre scandal until Jenn Sterger opens up in an actual interview with the league. Who knows how long this whole saga will be dragged out. The NFL is anxious to get it wrapped up.
